I got a call from a woman who said she was calling on behalf on John Kerry.
She wanted to know if I would be a co-signer of a bill that would provide health care to the eleven million un-insured children in the US. I said yes; she then repeated my name, Jonathan rodgers, as if to certify my commitment to un-insured children.
It was 8:45 in the morning. I tend to wake well after this hour.
The nice lady on the phone then stated that they were trying to raise ten cents for every thousand children senator Kerry's bill would help, and my donation of $110 would help to wake other people up early in the morning and ask for their credit card numbers. I said no. The woman says, that's fine, they are just kids that are dying, could you donate fifty or twenty five dollars.
I said no and the phone cut off. I like to think that she hung-up on me.
John, I hate to think you are now using your support list as a means to avoid the do-
not-call-list.
I hosted three parties to re-elect the president. I have yet to have a tele-marketer call me on behalf of our oh-so-fair leader. God Bless America.
